One of my greatest accomplishments Emerging Coders

An empathetic way to learn code.

Diversity in the tech industry is a well-known problem. After discovering his passion for technology, changing the image of what a programmer looks like became extremely important to him.

In 2016, he founded Emerging Coders at Howard University, in order to create a safe space for diverse students to learn how to code, be creative, share ideas, and also network with those who have a similar passions.

One of the greatest gifts from Emerging Coders is the sense of community within the CIS department that was established as a result of Emerging Coders. During meetings, students dedicated their time to refining technical skills and sharing what they've learned. To this day Daylin is amazed and so proud of influence Emerging Coders has had on the alumni. Many are now working for leading companies such as Facebook, Adobe, Deloitte, Lockheed Martin, and Accenture to name a few.
